Srinagar, Pahalgam and Sonamarg Tour Itinerary
Day 1
Arrive Srinagar airport, assistance on arrival & proceed to Hotel .Srinagar is also known as “Paradise on Earth” & “Venice of Asia “.Afternoon Visit to famous Mughal Gardens, Nishat(Garden of Pleasure), Shalimar ( Abode of Love) Mughal laid Out in the 16th century ,Botanical Garden ,Pari Mahal & these fall along the bank of Dal-Lake in the heart of Srinagar City & Shankaracharya Temple located on a hillock, thus providing panoramic view of entire City, along with famous Dal-Lake & River Jehlum, evening return back to Hotel and Overnight stay.
Day 2
Full day excursion to Sonamarg (Meadow of Gold) the distance of about 83 kms will be covered in 2-1/2 hrs. Sonamarg lies in the Sindh valley stream with flowers and surrounded by mountains. Sonamarg is also the base for some interesting treks to the high altitude of Himalayan lakes. Enjoy horse riding up to Thajiwas glacier and sledge riding on snow. Late afternoon drive back to Srinagar. Overnight stay in Hotel at Srinagar.
Day 3
After breakfast drive to Gulmarg (Meadow of Flowers) 2730 Mts above sea level. The distance of 60 Kms will be covered in about 2 hrs. Gulmarg has one of the best ski slopes in the world and the highest golf course of the world with 18 holes. 0ne can also have the view of Nanga Parbat if weather permits. The view enroute from Tangmarg to Gulmarg is fascinating. One can also have a short trek up to Khilanmarg which can be covered in about 3hrs.Also enjoy sledge riding on snow or Gondola ride (Cable car) up to Khilanmarg to enjoy the fascinating view of Pir Panjal range and for pony ride. Evening return back to Hotel and overnight stay in Gulmarg
Day 4
After breakfast drive to Pahalgam (valley of shepherds). The distance of about 160 kms will be covered in about 4- 1/2hrs. Enroute visiting Saffron fields, Awantipora ruins (1100 yrs old temple of Lord Vishnu built by King Awantiverma), see the beautiful countryside on the way and a lot of rice fields. Drive through pine forests. Arrive Pahalgam transfer to hotel. After lunch, have bridle walks and feed your cameras with the picture of magnificent views of mountains. .Overnight stay in a Hotel at Pahalgam .
Day 5
After breakfast enjoy the day in breathtaking views of Pahalgam and feel yourself in the lap of Nature. One can visit Aru Valley, Betaab Valley and Chandanwari by hiring Local Union Cab(own cost)or ponies(Horses).After completion return back to Hotel and overnight stay at Pahalgam
Day 6
After breakfast enjoy the day in pahalgam. Post lunch drive back to Srinagar. On arrival check in the Houseboat and overnight stay.
Day 7
After breakfast transfer to Srinagar Airport to catch your flight for onward destination with sweet memories.
